Lauren commenced her training contract in September 2022 and is currently in her fourth seat in our Employment team.
Lauren joined Laytons in 2020 as a Paralegal within our Property Department. She obtained her LLB in Dual Qualifying Scottish and English Law at the University of Dundee and obtained her LPC at the University of Law in 2022.

The Supreme Court handed down it’s judgement which extends the right to seek compensation for underpaid holiday entitlements to police officers and employees of the Police Service of Northern Ireland ("PSNI"). This decision has raised considerable concerns about the proper calculation of holiday pay and cost the PSNI an estimated £30million.
Judgment was handed down on 19 July 2023 in Re Mitt Wearables Ltd, in which Laytons acted for the 5th respondent Koalaa Ltd, the disruptive designer of soft sleeve prostheses. Koalaa is now set to revolutionise the market for prostheses and make comfortable, adaptable and affordable prostheses for all kinds of limb differences accessible to all.
