Charles Hodder

Charles is a Partner in the Commercial Property group.

He qualified in 1990 and has worked in the City for over 15 years. He joined Laytons in 2005.

Charles' main work involves:

• Property finance/ Secured lending
• Acquisitions and disposals (both commercial and residential properties and development sites)
• Landlord and tenant advice for both landlords and tenants of commercial and residential property 

Charles deals with all aspects of commercial property acting for clients in the aquisition and disposal of office, retail and industrial premises, shopping centres, and portfolios. His landlord and tenant experience covers portfolio asset management for investment clients and dealing with all aspects of leasehold property transactions for corporate occupiers, as well as advising on residential landlord and tenant issues. Charles acts for expanding businesses comprising investors, corporate end users of office and industrial premises and for retailers. He also acts for banks in secured lending transactions, involving UK and overseas borrowers acquiring commercial and residential properties in the UK for investment or development. He also advises on corporate transactions, involving offices, industrial property and hotels.
