Natalie is a Legal Assistant in the New Homes Team currently specialising in Land Development work. She joined Laytons in 2017 after relocating from Bristol where she initially began her career in property law.
Natalie is currently a Graduate member of CILEX and aims to become a Fellow in 2020.
Natalie has prior experience working within the Residential Property/Conveyancing team where she acted for a large number of international and domestic clients purchasing properties in the Battersea Power Station development. She now assists the Head of New Homes in a number of Land Development and Commercial transactions including:
Drafting estate documentation in relation to new and upcoming sites
Infrastructure agreements, easements, transfers, leases and wayleaves in connection with services, utilities, highways and drainage encountered on development sites
S.106 Disposals: transfers and leases of land on behalf of developers pursuant to their obligations contained in agreements made under section 106 Town and Country Planning Act 1990
Freehold reversions: the disposal of freehold reversionary interests in leasehold developments to qualifying tenants or investors including, where necessary, the preparation and service of the appropriate statutory notices
Acquisitions and disposals of commercial property for property investment companies and end users
Landlord and tenant: granting and taking of leases, and portfolio estate management work such as licences to assign, and licences for alterations
Overseas lenders in secured lending over UK property
New build plot disposals & part exchange work
