David is a consultant and a member of both the Corporate and Commercial teams.
As a lawyer with over 30 years’ experience as principal legal adviser and trusted counsel to businesses of all sizes, in multiple sectors, he has advised on a wide range of legal matters related to corporate, commercial and business operations. He has particular experience in venture capital investments, acting for both investees and funds, and in particular, in the structuring of venture capital funds.
David is one of the founders of Atuka, Inc., a Canadian contract research organisation that provides specialist consultancy services to aid the development of novel therapeutics and diagnostics for Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. David has previously also been a director of and acted as general counsel to Atuka, and has extensive experience of the pharmaceutical industry.
David is also currently General Counsel at Boutinot, a UK based grower and distributor of wines across the world. In this capacity David has particular experience in operating in, and doing business in, multiple jurisdictions and works with local advisors on all aspects of Boutinot’s business.
In his spare time, David runs a small independent record label.
David’s own business and General Counsel background complements the legal experience he brings to commercial issues.
