Laytons ETL is pleased to announce that its Real Estate Corporate team led by partner Simon Jones and closely assisted by senior associate Sophie Hartley has advised Yorkshire Water Services Limited on the acquisition of its new Operational Support Centre and a major operational warehouse facility at Leeds Valley Park. The completion of these strategically important transactions will support the company’s future growth and operational objectives.
The acquisitions form a key part of Yorkshire Water’s transformation programme, creating a modern head office that will accommodate approximately 900 employees and provide a collaborative, future-focused working environment. The move is a significant investment in creating a modern workplace capable of supporting the organisation’s long-term operational, environmental and customer service ambitions.
Alongside the headquarters acquisition, the Real Estate Corporate team also advised on the acquisition of a substantial warehouse and operational facility at Leeds Valley Park. The facility provides extensive logistics and operational capacity within one of the region’s most prominent business and industrial locations, strengthening Yorkshire Water’s ability to support its field operations and infrastructure programmes across Yorkshire.
Both transactions were commercially significant and involved complex real estate, operational and strategic considerations. Working closely with Yorkshire Water’s land and property, legal and operational teams, the Real Estate Corporate team provided comprehensive legal support throughout the acquisitions, helping to secure assets that will play a critical role in the company’s future operations.
