Laytons ETL has appointed the multi-jurisdiction litigation specialist Jeremy Lederman as a Partner in our Disputes team.
Mr Lederman joins from the West End office of Harold Benjamin Solicitors, a firm he joined as a partner in 2015. Prior to that he was a partner and head of commercial dispute resolution at Cumberland Ellis and, following its merger with that firm, Wedlake Bell.
His practice focuses on a range of contentious commercial matters, including contractual disputes, shareholder, company and partnership disputes and debt recovery. Other specialist areas include professional negligence claims, disputes arising out of M&A and failing projects, fraud claims and judicial review/regulation.
Many of his cases have a mission-critical impact on clients and their businesses.
A significant proportion of Mr Lederman’s cases involve an international element, and he is regularly instructed by overseas or multinational clients and professional services firms. He acts for corporates, multinationals, owner-managed businesses, professionals, insolvency practitioners, trustees and individuals.
Notable cases on which he has acted include multi-jurisdictional fraud claims valued in the hundreds of millions of US dollars, joint venture disputes in the oil and property development sectors and pursuing multi-million-pound professional negligence claims.
